Carbon Brush Maker - CR0 - CR8

A global manufacturer of graphite and carbon materials is seeking a technically minded individual to become a Carbon Brush Maker and join their small and friendly team based in Croydon. The Carbon Brush Maker will manufacture carbon brushes for electric motors; therefore the Carbon Brush Maker will have a good eye for detail, hands-on, and be capable of working fast and accurate. Full training will be provided.

Applications from suitably experienced ex-military personnel (British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy or Royal Marines) are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manufacture carbon brushes for electric motors
• Cover other areas of the process such as operating in compliance with our Quality Management System
• Receiving and booking-in goods for manufacture, unpacking, storing, disposing of waste and site cleaning

Person Specification: Knowledge/Experience/Skills

Essential:

• Technically minded (training will be provided)
• Be hands-on, organised & practical
• Have a methodical eye for detail
• Capable of working fast, accurately and under pressure
• Good communicator
• Have a ‘can-do’ attitude

Desirable:

• Fabrication experience

Hours:

• Mon-Thur. 08.00 – 16.30hrs, Fri. 08.00 – 16.00 hrs
• 39.5hrs per week

Salary:            

• £25,000 - £30,000
