A company specialising in the production of high-quality plastics to a wide range of sectors in the UK and abroad is seeking a Continuous Improvement Project Manager to manage, co-ordinate and execute their CI strategy. The CI Project Manager will have a minimum engineering or technical degree or equivalent. In addition, the CI Project Manager will have strong leadership, analytical, teamwork, and IT skills. The CI Project Manager will engage with all business functions to deliver measurable cost savings through technical innovations, process optimisation and energy reduction.

Responsibilities:

  • Development and ownership of site C.I. and cost reduction strategy
  • Preparation of capital justification proposals for submission to Site, Cluster and Group level.
  • Development of detailed project maps to including critical timing.
  • Technical/C.I. project delivery; on time, within budget.
  • Ownership of Company’s CI tracker to monitor progress and track cost savings against predetermined financial targets.
  • Coordination of data within Power BI framework to communicate progress and benchmark against other sites within Group.
  • Deliver progress reports and best practice sharing within group.

 

Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:

  • Have a minimum undergraduate engineering or technical degree or equivalent
  • Demonstrate strong hands-on leadership through engagement at all levels of the organisation
  • Ensure that all proposals are investigated thoroughly and financially justified
  • Support, motivate and develop team and individual engagement by effective coaching, facilitation and training
  • Develop methods of maximising use of MES/ERP/Power BI.
  • Work closely with Finance and Operations departments to realise CI initiatives and project delivery, ensure seamless transition across the organisation.
  • Support technical and technical personnel development throughout the operation to ensure long business longevity.
  • Have a flexible approach to working.
  • Demonstrate the drive and ambition drive to further develop within the organisation.

 

Salary:

£45,000 - £50,000

 

Basic Hours – Days 39hrs / week
