As part of a skilled engineering craft team, you will create precision parts used in manufacturing and engineering. Have good knowledge and would have operated computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools. Manually controlled machines will also support the role and ideally, you would have experience within controls systems.
You will possess good practical skills and the have a good standard of computer skills, an understanding of engineering instructions/drawings and the ability to work to a high level of accuracy.
Experienced with many specifications of metals but you may also find yourself working with composite materials and plastics. Most of the parts being manufactured would be for use in the Oil and Gas industry but our very diverse capability would also serve many different market sectors and applications including other manufacturing industries.
Applications from suitably qualified ex-military personnel (Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Marines) will be particularly relevant for this position but other qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
Main Purpose of Job
To carry out the operations of a Milling Machinist using a Mazatrol Control System or a Lathe Machinist using a FANUC Control System.

- Numerical skills

- Time served apprentice – engineering machining
- GCSE or equivalent Maths
