Driver/Yardman (night shift) - LE1 - LE67

An award-winning HGV dealership is seeking Driver/Yardman for night shifts at their Leicester depot. A Driver/Yardman will need to have a Class 1 HGV licence. Opportunities to progress or work across the country are available and the business has recently invested heavily in its facilities. A Driver/Yardman will find that people stay once they are onboard with our client and can rely on long-term job security.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure vehicles are collected from and delivered to customers in a timely fashion.
• Steam clean and valet vehicles as required.
• Collect/deliver parts out of hours as requested and in the absence of the Parts Delivery Driver.
• Assist when required with the general maintenance and repair services for the depot.
• Ensure the yard area is kept clean, tidy and organised.
• Carry out receiving inspections of new vehicles as directed by the Supervisor/Chargehand.
• Ensure safe working practices are employed and report any vehicle defects
• Maintain a smart and professional appearance at all times.
• Observe Health & Safety regulations at all times.

Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:

Essential:

• Class 1 HGV licence
• Have a flexible approach to work commitments
• Work with the team to ensure a strong top team ethos exists

Salary: £27,000 - £28,000

Hours: 39 hours, Mon-Sat, 21:00-05:30
