A highly specialised engineering company is seeking an Electrical Installation Engineer to assemble and install component parts on large-scale and complex systems. This is a company with extraordinary vision and the scope to affect people’s lives around the world. An Electrical Installation Engineer will need a diploma in Electrical Engineering (or similar) and have confidence applying technical drawings and datasheets to the installation of key electrical components to the system. An Electrical Installation Engineer would need to be comfortable in a highly regulated and controlled environment and tackle several issues simultaneously with a close-knit Installation Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and install component parts, using hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment and fixtures
  • Handle and move heavy material to ensure conformance to orders and compile the required documentation
  • Create and record installation checklist documentation
  • Ensure tools and equipment are calibrated, maintained and PAT tested as specified
  • Follow company procedures for problem reporting and provide feedback to assist with the development of the system

 

Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:

 

Essential:

  • Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Experience of working on large-scale complex systems or installation
  • Solid experience in using tools and test equipment for electrical installation
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, datasheets, and written work instructions
  • Work in a controlled/validated environment

 

Desirable:

  • FLT license
  • Vacuum installation experience

 

Salary: £32,000 to £38,000 DOE
