A highly specialised engineering company is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Installation Engineer to support, install and maintain and resolve electrical / mechanical related issues on their systems. An Electro-Mechanical Installation Engineer will need a be have a diploma or time served in an Electrical or Mechanical environment. This is very much a hands-on role in a dynamic environment where requirements and focus can change at a moment’s notice.

Responsibilities:

  • To support, install and maintain the system for clinical feasibility studies and to resolve electrical / mechanical related issues and provide feedback to improve serviceability in order to obtain device certification
  • Assemble and commission component parts, using hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and fixtures
  • Handle and move heavy material to ensure conformance to specifications and compile the required documentation
  • Create and record installation checklist documentation for the Device History Record (DHR).
  • Install and test pressurised systems
  • Ensure tools and equipment are calibrated, maintained and PAT tested as specified in the ERP system
  • Follow company procedures for problem reporting and provide feedback to assist with the development of the system

 

Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:

Essential:

  • Have a Mechanical / Electrical technical diploma (or equivalent), or time served
  • Have experience of working on a large-scale complex system / installation
  • Solid experience in using tools and test equipment for electrical / mechanical and vacuum installation
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, datasheets, and written work instructions
  • Work in a controlled/validated environment
  • Mechanical knowledge, such as pumps, motors, structures etc.
  • Experience with manual handling and/or working at height
  • IT literate

 

Desirable:

  • 17th or 18th Edition qualified
  • FLT and/or LOLER qualification
  • Qualified Radiation Protection Supervisor
  • Electrical testing and inspection
  • Experience with laser alignment
  • Experienced in assembling waveguides
  • Experience of working with hydraulics and pneumatics
  • CSCS card holder

 

Salary: £32,000-£38,000 DOE

Benefits:  28 days holiday +8 BH, 8% contribution to pension, private healthcare, shift premiums of 15%
