A large real estate management company is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to deliver key engineering projects and manage the preventative maintenance programme while reporting to the MD. The Engineering Project Manager will need to have a proven track record in engineering maintenance management including some experience in hydraulic asset management. In addition, you will have applicable health and safety knowledge, budget management, experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams, and have delivered civil/marine engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of the assets and the renewal strategy identified in its thirty-year plan and as updated in the annual business plan
- Review and manage third party maintenance and engineering contracts to ensure best value for money and assured asset protection
- Plan and deliver key projects in the area
- Develop and work to clearly set out project plans for the various projects required over the next twelve months
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time and to budget and meet with the company’s health and safety policy
- Build relationships with key stakeholders and dock occupants to enable the delivery of projects and ensure assets are properly protected
- Ensure financial targets are achieved and costs are controlled in accordance with annual budgets
- Obtain at least three competitive estimates for letting contracts which will support the projects
- Regularly review existing suppliers to ensure best value for money
- Lead and manage directly the engineer team
Knowledge, skills and qualifications:
Essential:
- A proven track record in engineering maintenance management is essential with some expertise in hydraulic asset management
- Extensive knowledge of applicable health & safety legislation, industry best practice, standards and guidance
- Previous experience in delivering complex or unusual civil/marine engineering projects
- Previous budget management and control
- Experience in developing supplier relationships and contracts
- Deep understanding of the principles of risk management and value engineering
- Experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and project planning tools
Desirables:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Current project management qualification
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
- Experience with control systems
Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 DOE
