A rapidly expanding industrial machines supplier is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service, maintain and overhaul plant vehicles at customer sites. Field Service Engineers need to have mostly mechanical and some electrical experience with servicing and maintaining machinery. Our client is also looking to hire on attitude and needs a Field Service Engineer with solid, customer-facing skills and a “can-do” attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out all customer work associated with the service, maintenance and overhauling of small plant vehicles located on customer sites
  • Complete all allocated work within the most cost-efficient timescales
  • Complete all relevant paperwork clearly and concisely, ensuring all timesheets and other paperwork are submitted on time
  • Adhere to company quality standards, policies and procedures at all times.
  • Meet customer expectations on service delivery and professional standards
  • Utilize company reporting procedures with any job outcomes, concerns, etc.


Person Specification


  • Have minimum NVQ Level 3 qualifications in an engineering discipline
  • Have previous maintenance experience with various pieces of machinery
  • Mechanically biased, but also electrical experience
  • Proven experience in accomplishing targets successfully
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Able to work as a team and on own initiative
  • Be adaptable and highly organised
  • UK Driving licence



£26,000 - £32,000 DOE



Monday through Friday, 08:30 – 17:00
