Field Service Engineer - GL1 - GL56

Market leaders in the design and manufacture of industrial steam boilers and other large products is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide preventative and corrective maintenance for their customers. The Field Service Engineer will have completed a level 3 NVQ in a relevant technical subject and have previous multi-skilled experience in electrical and mechanical engineering. You will ned to have a gas qualification as well as experience working around combustion, and a UK driving licence. This is a home-based type role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure proper management of technical assistance contracts
• Preventive and corrective maintenance
• Water treatment monitoring
• Burner settings optimisation
• Optimisation operations or components renewal

Knowledge, skills and qualifications:

Essential:

• Completed minimum NVQ level 3 apprenticeship in a technical subject
• Have previous electro-mechanical experience
• Attained industrial or commercial gas qualification
• Has combustion experience
• Full, clean driving licence
• Able to work on own supervision
• Good customer service skills

Desirable:

• Has knowledge on electronic burner management controls

Salary: £34,000 base + overtime (rising salary to circa £46,000)
