£35,000 - £42,000 DOE + overtime and benefits

A specialist engineering company dealing in OEM circuit breakers for a range of commercial and industrial industries is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their closely-knit team and provide field service, workshop and office duties to ensure customers’ electrical power is continuously running. The Field Service Engineer will have relevant electrical qualifications and be able to show safety competence. In addition, you will have excellent customer service, teamwork, and proactive skills, have a UK driving licence, and be available for out of hours and overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help supply, maintenance, injection testing, installation, commission, fault finding and repair of a range of products such as air circuit breakers, moulded case circuit breakers, vacuum circuit breakers, protection releases and relays, low and high voltage switchboards, changeover systems, battery chargers.
  • Maintain and repair returned customer items and certain stock items.
  • Provide site visit reports, test certificates, method statements and risk assessments, quotations, site surveys, asset lists, contract and telephone support.

 

Knowledge, skills and qualifications:

Essential:

  • Have completed a level 4 in electrical engineering or similar
  • Proven ability to show electrical safety competence
  • Have a clean UK driving licence and is prepared to do regular security vetting and drugs & alcohol testing
  • Be available for regular out of normal working hours and overtime
  • Able to work as a team and on own initiative
  • Is proactive and have excellent customer service

 

Desirable:

  • Authorised or Senior Authorized Person status

 

Salary: £35,000 to £42,000 depending on experience + overtime and benefits
