A highly specialised engineering company is seeking a Health and Safety Engineer for their facility in Warrington. It is essential the Health and Safety Engineer proven experience working in a similar role and have completed a BSc degree, preferably in a technical background. The Health and Safety Engineer will have excellent people and communication skills, as well as have strong array of soft skills. They must be able to work independently, result driven and flexible in their day-to-day work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and ensure site compliance with company health and safety policies, rules and procedures
  • Conduct or direct activities aimed for hazards identification
  • Develop safety action plan to correct non-compliance issues and ensure it implementation
  • Conduct safety audits to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and rules
  • Conduct site specific induction training for newcomers
  • Maintain and report on HS records and statistics
  • Provide technical safety support to the team working on site
  • Management of Permit to work
  • Work together with Line Managers when coordinating investigation of incidents and near misses to achieve accurate and timely completion
  • Provide feedback on operational safety and environmental performance regularly


Person Specification: Knowledge/Experience/Skills



  • Minimum BSc degree qualification or equivalent
  • Trained in Occupational Safety and Health
  • 5+ years of equivalent work experience in technical role (Maths, Physics, Electronics, Avionics or similar)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Analytical skills, precise, result-driven, objective, open minded, fair and determined
  • Ability to work autonomously

Salary: £40,000-£45,000 DOE
