HGV (Class 2) Driver - TN1 - TN40

£26K (with OTE - up to £32K)

Responsible to the timely delivery of materials to the customer base mainly across the south of England and occasionally other parts of the UK.  The successful candidate will operate a range of vehicles.

The successful candidate will potentially move on to HGV (C+E) Licence.  Our client would cover the cost of training in exchange for a commitment to a long term career with the business.  This is a fantastic long-term training and career development opportunity.

Maintain good customer facing skills and representing the company in a professional manner. Abiding by company procedures at all times. Working within safe working environment and giving due care & attention to others on health & safety.

Key Responsibilities & Duties include:

  • Have experience of delivery driving and a good knowledge of the UK
  • Deliver materials to clients in a timely manner within the UK.
  • Take materials from appropriate areas & with correct delivery details using documented company procedures
  • Present a company facing profile with good customer service
  • Learn about the range of products to ensure correct deliveries
  • Present a company facing profile with good customer service
  • Report any issues directly to the Line Manager

Essential Skills

  • HGV (Class 2) Driving Licence and CPC with Driver Card are essential.
  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
  • Positive, flexible attitude to work and the ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Safety conscious at all times, observant and with good attention to detail.
  • Organization & commitment, understand the importance of tight schedules.
  • Prepared to take responsibility and be held accountable.
  • Approachable and reliable.
  • Committed to delivery and customer focused (internal and external).
  • Ability to establish good working relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Flexible with working hours and willing to adapt to meet business needs.
