HSQE Advisor - DA1 - DA18

£40,000 - £45,000 + benefits

A company specialising in the manufacture of refrigeration equipment is seeking a HSQE Advisor to assist site teams and managers by recognising hazards and seek to minimise risks. The HSQE Advisor will have relevant experience in a similar role, hold a minimum NEBOSH certificate, and have proven experience of recognised HSQE systems such as ISO14001; further requirements are listed below.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in exercising an effective Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management system to meet legal, customer, Company, Moral and other relevant requirements placed upon the company
  • Ensure that HSQE requirements, HSQE Plans, and other relevant documentation are implemented monitored and reviewed. Also, that reporting of HSQE performance is conducted in accordance with Company, Client and Contractual Requirements
  • Provide technical support and other disciplines and coordination and control to Directors, Managers, Employees, and subcontractors on HSQE issues
  • Act as the interface between the company and clients on HSQE related issues
  • Maintain an effective operational relationship between the company and third-party services
  • Continue Enhancement/ Improvement Plans of the HSQE management system
  • Ensure that investigations are performed and acted upon for all HSQE accidents, Incidents and Near misses
  • Establish and maintain an audit program to verify that all company site locations continually meet our ISO 9001 and 14001:2015 standards
  • Ensure employees, Subcontractors & service providers comply with all contractual requirements and follow the Management systems to control and minimize HSQE Risks
  • Monitor and audit the effectiveness of the integrated managements systems and client project-based activities
  • Establish processes and methodologies for managing the HSQE Management Systems and to assist Senior Managers & Directors in Identifying and maintaining Company HSQE Targets, Objectives & KPIs
  • Maintain system(s) for managing preventative and corrective actions. Implement statistical analysis of problems to identify trends and report to senior Managers & Directors for review

 

Knowledge, skills and qualifications:

Essential:

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience of working in a similar environment, alongside strong safety knowledge
  • A Safety Practitioner (Tech IOSH status or higher), you will hold a minimum NEBOSH certificate or equivalent and have proven experience of recognised health, safety, Quality, and environmental systems such as OHSAS18001, ISO14001, BS EN ISO 9001:2015
  • Hold Membership of professional organisation (e.g. IOSH, IIRSM, IEMA)
  • Internal / Lead Auditor QMS, EMS or H&S qualification and experience
  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training (formally PTTLs)
  • CSCS Safety Professional card

 

Desirables:

  • Higher education qualification
  • NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Risk Management or equivalent

 

Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 DOE
