A long established and respected  SME is seeking an Installation Technician to carry out commercial, industrial and domestic installations of varying sizes across all disciplines of fire and security. Installation Technicians will need 3 years’ experience in the sector, be IT proficient and a current ECS card. Installations Technicians will also have to be motivated and self-disciplined to work on their own but will be needed to work inside small teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out commercial, industrial and domestic installations of varying sizes across all disciplines of fire and security to the relevant industry standards
  • Identify and rectify faults across all systems installed
  • Compile comprehensive installation documents using electronic devices (mobile phone and tablet)
  • Adhere to company standards at all times
  • Attend regular training workshops and team meetings as determined by the company

 

Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:

Essential:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in industrial, commercial, and domestic installations & maintenance in the Fire & Security industry
  • Basic IT skills: MS Word, MS Outlook
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • ECS Card (with at least 6 months remaining)
  • Be motivated, self-disciplined and capable of working on your own initiative to problem solve or collectively as part of a team
  • Able to pass security screening - DBS checks and NPCC checks

 

Desirable:

  • IP knowledge
  • Fire extinguisher and servicing qualified
  • IPAF trained
  • PASMA trained

 

Salary: £28,000 to £33,000 DOE

Hours: 40 hours per week – Monday through Friday, plus 1 in 8 standby rota
