ISBM Technician - CF3 - CF83

A company specialising in the production of high-quality plastics in the UK and abroad is seeking an Injection Stretch Blow Moulding Technician to produce the high-quality products for a wide range of sectors. The ISBM Technician will have previous experience in injection/blow moulding, as well as have excellent communication and teamwork skills, self-motivated, and organised.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating with other shifts and communicating effectively any problem areas.
  • Review the production plan, identify problem areas, establish the reasons for this and decide course of action.
  • Identify and resolve downtime issues.
  • Perform machine safety checks. Repair where necessary. Carry out machine/tooling maintenance.
  • Report any Hazards on the Hazard Reporting Data system.
  • Ensure all chemicals / substances used comply with the COSHH regulations and are stored correctly.
  • Responsible for the Quality of product being produced.
  • Carry out Quality checks on all machines for which you are responsible.
  • Prioritise actions to improve Quality if necessary.
  • Rectify any Quality defects, documenting what corrective action has been taken.
  • Verify Product Quality following every start up and stoppage.
  • Verify machine Cycle times and initiate corrective action where necessary.
  • Take steps / intervene to prevent defects from being manufactured.
  • Carry out colour changes / tool changes as required as per the Company’s procedures.
  • Complete documentation accurately.
  • Record downtime reasons and duration accurately and fully.
  • Document accurately and fully defects by quantity, description and cause.
  • Document accurately and fully all Quality checks.
  • Comply with all Company BRC procedures.

 

Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:

Essential:

  • Have injection/blow moulding experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Great customer service skills with good organisation and work management to meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated and confident to act on their own initiative whilst working effectively within the organizational team

 

Desirable:

  • A background in Engineering or recognized Engineering qualification

 

Salary:

£30k - £35k

Basic Hours - 42 hrs / week working 4 x 12 hrs continental shift patterns
