An exciting opportunity for a Live-in Security Manager has opened at a prestigious company in London. The Live-in Security Manager will be sharing shift work along with two deputy porters in order to provide building security and coordination amongst staff to ensure the smooth running of the daily routine. Live-in Security Manager will be required to liaise with staff, and members of the public, maintaining a professional manner at all times. This role is a live-in (M-F with weekend rota), uniformed position with accommodation provided with free onsite parking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management of all aspects of physical security and welfare of the building and grounds and the protection of artefacts / heritage assets against loss or damage
  • Responding to all emergencies within the grounds, controlling access during social and official functions, remaining on call during quiet hours
  • Overseeing all CCTV coverage and checking functionality of proximity card access, intruder alarms and fire detection systems
  • Management and leadership of the security and car parking team
  • Responsible for undertaking full investigations of any security breaches or issues, implementation of plans to mitigate risks in the future
  • Providing a presence and advice where necessary on security requirements for ad hoc one-off events
  • Liaising with local Police Forces and where necessary other security organisations
  • Attend weekly Heads of Department meetings (or delegate a deputy to attend) to determine Inner Temple business and operational needs
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties in line with the post as may be required from time to time, including attendance at high profile, legal and promotional events.

Knowledge, skills and qualifications:

Essential:

  • SIA Qualified
  • Experience in a security role or similar position
  • Experience of line managing a diverse team
  • Experience of using relevant technology and equipment (e.g., CCTV and Access control systems)
  • Experience in reporting and emergency response planning
  • Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures
  • Proven experience of managing a budget
  • First aid skills
  • Good IT skills including MS Office
  • Strong diplomatic and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills

Desirables:

  • Mental health first aid skills and ability to train others
