A company hiring out luxury portable loo trailers and designer washrooms is now looking for a Logistics Supervisor to join its team. The Logistics Supervisor will be working for a company that has one of the largest fleets in the industry and provides toilet solutions for some very large and prestigious events, as well as smaller private parties and weddings. The Logistics Supervisor will enjoy working as part of a team to take on a challenging logistics/procurement focussed role with a degree of office/yard admin to take care of as well. They will interact with clients and staff to ensure the best service is delivered. The role will be about 75% office based, with the balance focussed on the yard, but you will occasionally go on site during the summer months to meet clients and help set up events.

This role would suit ex-military candidates and applications from ex-service personnel are strongly encouraged.


Key Responsibilities

  • Head of Procurement. Buying all the stock, parts and tools that the team need to carry out their jobs. All staff will come to you with requests for parts.
  • Answering phones and taking bookings, putting those bookings on the computer system, delivery schedule and running invoices.
  • Calling clients to get the relevant information needed to carry out deliveries and ensuring the drivers have all the info they need.
  • Carrying out stock checks and ordering the necessary equipment.
  • Logistics planning- we have 12+ drivers who need to be organised and given information.
  • Organising the cleaning schedule for the cleaners.
  • Organising the servicing of all the vehicles and lorries.
  • Checking all trailers that are due to leave the yard the next day.
  • Loading trailers with equipment lists given to you by the Operations Manager/GM. This is mostly done with forklift but the candidate does need to be able to lift heavy boxes to load vans etc.
  • Ensuring the yard is kept tidy, everything is stored in its correct place and people have access to the equipment they need.
  • For the first 2 months you will be doing anything and everything in the office to help out and learn the systems and processes. The role will then morph into taking more responsibility and sculpting your own role.


Key Qualifications and Experience

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and email.
  • Having a towing licence is needed as sometimes you will need to tow trailers to a site.
  • Any plumbing or electrical knowledge is a positive as there are often things that need fixing.
  • Health and safety knowledge, first aid certification is desirable
  • The candidate must be very organised, good at dealing with and managing people, a problem solver and someone who takes the initiative. They must work as a vital part of a team.
