A company specialising in the production of high-quality plastics to a wide range of sectors in the UK and abroad is seeking a Maintenance Technician to execute planned maintenance schedules for the company’s plant and equipment. The Maintenance Technician will have completed a time-served apprenticeship or equivalent, have attained a recognised engineering qualification and have experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems. In addition, the Maintenance Technician will have a good eye for detail and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
- Use engineering skills/knowledge to maintain and enhance the performance of plant and equipment through scheduled maintenance tasks
- Ensure accurate & timely records are recorded of all work carried out, root causes of failures and of spares or consumables used.
- Ensure annual maintenance programs are adhered to and improved, where required
- Ensure TPM and PPM systems are followed and completed as required
- Ensure that all H&S procedures, engineering best practices are adhered to at all times.
Knowledge, skills and qualifications:
Essential:
- Completed a time-served apprenticeship or equivalent
- Have a recognised engineering qualification
- Previous mechanical maintenance experience
- Must be able to service/inspect equipment to component level
- Have knowledge/experience of pneumatic systems
- Have knowledge/experience of hydraulic systems
- Must be able to work under own supervision or as part of a team and have excellent communication and record keeping skills
- Have a good eye for detail and communication skills
- IT Literate (Word, Excel and Cloud Based software)
Desirable:
- Experience in manufacturing environment
Salary:
- £26,000 to £28,000 DOE
- Basic Hours – 07:00-15:30 (no shift work, no weekends)
