A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a hard-working, driven, and enthusiastic Master Locksmith to join our client’s highly successful and ever expanding team based in London.

Applications from suitably qualified ex-military personnel (Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Marines) will be particularly relevant for this position but other qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend customer premises to carry out works
  • Survey work and advise on best products for customer’s needs
  • Liaise with customers and carry out tasks as instructed/suggested on site, including but not limited to:
    1. Fit-open-replace door and window locks
    2. Fit safes, security grilles and door closers
  • Complete all documents as required for the work carried out such as quotes and sales orders
  • Collect payment from the client for the works carried out following company procedures
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers, whilst maintaining the highest level of professional conduct
  • Liaise with other departments within the company as required in order to carry out your responsibilities – examples may be for upselling or any key-cutting requirements paired with lock-fitting
  • Be familiar with and to follow the company operating procedures as relevant to your responsibilities
  • Make suggestions to improve Company procedures, particularly as it affects the Locksmith Department
  • Assist with maintaining the company’s policy on quality
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner with minimum supervision but to refer to a Manager or Director when their assistance or guidance will promote improved customer service
  • Be respectful of your working environment and tools provided by the company to perform your duties

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Locksmith experience (3 years’ experience preferred but not essential)
  • Certification or completion of locksmith courses considered an asset
  • Good knowledge of security products
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to detail and well organized
  • Able to work both independently and within a team
  • Mechanically minded
  • Good level of basic mathematical understanding
  • IT literate
  • Minimum GCSE/”O” Level Maths and English
  • DBS check will be required
  • A full valid UK Driver’s licence
