A highly specialised engineering company is seeking a Mechanical Installation Engineer to assemble and install component parts on large-scale and complex systems. This is a company with extraordinary vision and the scope to affect people’s lives around the world. A Mechanical Installation Engineer will need a diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) and have confidence applying technical drawings and datasheets to the installation of key electrical components to the system. A Mechanical Installation Engineer would need to be comfortable in a highly regulated and controlled environment and tackle several issues simultaneously with a close-knit Installation Team.

  • Assemble and install component parts, using hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and fixtures
  • Handle and move heavy material to ensure conformance to orders and compile the required documentation
  • Create and record installation checklist documentation
  • Ensure tools and equipment are calibrated, maintained and PAT tested as specified
  • Follow company procedures for problem reporting and provide feedback to assist with the development of the system
  • To support the activities on site to install and maintain the system for feasibility studies, certification and provide feedback to improve serviceability.


Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:



  • Mechanical Engineering Diploma or equivalent qualifications
  • Experience of working on a large-scale and complex systems / installations
  • Experience in using tools and test equipment for mechanical installation
  • Mechanical knowledge, such as pumps, motors, structures etc.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, datasheets, and written work instructions
  • Work in a controlled/validated environment
  • Driving license



  • Experience with Air Conditioning Installation
  • Crane operator/Banksman
  • FLT and/or LOLER qualification
  • Lifting or slinging experience
  • Experience with laser alignment
  • Experience of working with hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Experience with manual handling and/or working at height


Salary: £32,000 to £38,000 DOE
