A Network Engineer is needed at a provider of Network and IT services to companies across the UK. Network Engineers will need 4-5 years Network Support experience in a variety of communication technologies, preferable in an SME and be part qualified CCNA/NP. A Network Engineer with IT experience would be valued. As a small business, a Network Engineer would be expected to assist other members of the team on any number of projects.

Responsibilities:
- Providing Telephone, Ticketing and eMail, network support both onsite and remote to a variety of businesses in the south and London.
- Technical problem solving.
- Systems monitoring and maintenance
- WAN communications troubleshooting.
- Switch, Router, Wireless access point and telephony provision/installation
- Assisting other team members with projects
Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:
Essential:
- 4-5 years IT Support experience in a variety of communication technologies
- Part-Qualified CCNA/NP
- Experience in a business client support role
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A positive and friendly attitude, with integrity and keen attention to detail
- An intelligent and logical thinker
- An ability to demonstrate initiative
- An understanding of excellent customer service and teamwork
- An ability to learn quickly and leverage available resources
- A team focus, but also a self-starter who can work autonomously
Minimum Technical Experience:
- VoIP, SIP
- Switches, Firewalls and Routers of various manufacturers.
- Linux OS
- Cabling, Wiring, Wholesale phone connections, ADSL, FTTC
- Network monitoring, diagnostics, fault detection
- VLAN’s
Desirable:
- Practical experience in network support for small & medium businesses
- Experience of working with providers - BT, TalkTalk, Virgin, Virtual1, OpenReach
- Connectwise
- 3CX Telephone admin
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
