Operations Manager - AL1 - AL10

£50,000 - £60,000 DOE + benefits

A consultancy specialising in environmental waste management solutions is seeking an Operations Manager to ensure robust systems and processes are in place so that the business is able to provide its new offerings effectively. The Operations Manager will have worked in a fast-paced environment, have strong operations experience, and ideally have worked in the construction/waste sector. In addition, the Operations Manager will have a driving licence, is a strategic thinker, have good communication, problem solving and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review all current workflows and business functions and design and implement improved systems and processes throughout all business functions to allow for fast paced growth
  • Ensure the implementation of a digital platform within the business works efficiently and provides the desired customer experience
  • Assist the MD with the day to day running and planned growth of the business
  • Design and implement better internal policies and incentives to promote staff motivation, engagement and retention
  • Introduce quality control measures
  • Ensure the mission of the business is always at the forefront of everything we do

 

Knowledge, skills and qualifications:

Essential:

  • Previous commercial experience in a role of this kind, ideally in a business that is experiencing fast paced growth
  • Is a strategic thinker, solution orientated, and ambitious
  • Has a driving licence and is based within an easily commutable distance from HQ
  • Takes responsibility to affect change
  • Is an effective communicator and has good project management skills

 

Desirables:

  • Has construction or waste sector experience
  • Logistics experience
  • Experience implementing ISO's and other beneficial accreditations
  • Has IT/Tech knowledge

 

Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 DOE
