A long-standing garden design and landscaping business is seeking an Operations Manager to be responsible for the preparation, planning, scheduling, monitoring and management of the teams required to deliver their assigned landscaping projects. The Operations Manager will need previous working experience delivering projects to completion, have excellent people management and leadership skills, and have the ability and creativity to problem solve and work with senior leadership. In addition, the Operations Manager will have a driving license, good customer service skills, and a quick learner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a successful handover and interworking from Sales to Operations
  • Drive accurate planning and preparation of all projects/services
  • Support and ensure the successful delivery of all projects and services
  • Monitor, record and report data for all projects projects/services, ensuring targets are met
  • Attend and prepare the documentation required to be reported on at the weekly Operations meeting
  • Build and maintain a relationship with clients during project delivery
  • Help improve processes and procedures within the Operations function
  • Work closely with the Sales function as they prepare large quotations and then move to a project being brought into operations and start work on the preparation activities
  • Improve client satisfaction
  • Improve processes and procedures within the Operations function
  • Support the Operations Director with business activities outside of the landscaping operations function

 

Knowledge, skills and qualifications:

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a managerial position working with superiors in order to accomplish tasks
  • Excellent people management, teamwork, and leadership skills
  • Have great time management, project management, and customer service skills
  • Is personable, creative, a quick learner and a problem solver
  • Able to work as an individual and as a team
  • Have full driving licence
  • Good IT skills

 

Desirable:

  • Have good landscaping, horticultural or gardening experience
