Procurement and Materials Manager - EC1A - EC4Y

A leading provider of AI-powered solutions for the supply chain sector is seeking a Procurement and Materials Manager with strong experience using IBM Maximo to oversee and enhance material and procurement processes within IBM Maximo to ensure seamless transition from PR to PO and PO to delivery for customers. The Procurement and Materials Manager must have a minimum 7 years of experience using the IBM Maximo App Suite, experience in barcoding implementation and optimisation, and have a degree qualification in a relevant subject. The role includes international travel and is a contract position lasting 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and enhance material and procurement processes within IBM Maximo, ensuring the seamless transition from PR to PO and PO to delivery.
  • Implement best practices for three-way matching (PR, PO, and delivery) to maintain financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Act as a change agent in collaboration with procurement and finance stakeholders to drive process improvements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels to address concerns and promote the adoption of new practices.
  • Implement common numbering practices to enhance consistency and facilitate operational stability.
  • Work towards maintaining a stable Maximo environment for day-to-day operations.
  • Integrate barcoding solutions into warehousing processes to improve accuracy and efficiency in inventory management.
  • Collaborate with warehouse teams to implement and optimize barcoding systems.
  • Develop and execute strategies for expediting materials to meet project timelines.
  • Enhance inventory visibility through Maximo, providing real-time insights into material availability and locations.
  • Travel to designated locations for one week per month, with occasional extended stays based on project needs.
  • Collaborate with local teams to understand regional requirements and ensure the effective use of Maximo.
  • Leverage deep expertise in IBM Maximo to drive improvements and troubleshoot issues.
  • Collaborate with IBM experts to stay informed about the latest features, updates, and best practices.
  • Operate within budget constraints while effectively implementing enhancements and ensuring system stability.

Knowledge, skills and qualifications:

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Maximo Application Suite, with a focus on Materials and Procurement
  • Expertise in three-way matching, common numbering, and stability for operational efficiency
  • Strong background in barcoding implementation and optimisation
  • Proven experience as a change agent in collaboration with procurement and finance stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel 40-50% of the time, including international travel

 

Desirable:

  • IBM Maximo certifications
  • AWS Certifications

 

Salary: £100,000 - £140,000 (bonus for completion)

Term: 12-month contract – ideally client would like to extend
