Production Manager - PE1 - PE38

A long-standing fabrication/construction company is looking for a Production Manager to be a part of a small team which is pivotal to the success of the business. Our client prides itself on using commercially managed and sustainable resources to produce top-range products for the public and private sectors. It is essential that Production Managers have experience in the construction sector, be IT proficient and have a Driving Licence. It is desirable that a Production Manager have a Level 3 in Management and IOSH certificate, but training can be offered.

Applications from suitably experienced ex-military personnel (British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy or Royal Marines) are strongly encouraged to apply.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily tasking of the production teams
  • Analyse production and quality control to detect and correct problems
  • Brief the Operations manager on production prioritisation conflict including proposed solution
  • Promote Quality Assurance with the teams
  • To coordinate issues with drawings and manage through the design team
  • To advise the Operations and Transport manager on completed work, for delivery
  • To proactively enforce and educate workforce on matters for Health & Safety
  • Managing the Health & Safety requirements for areas of responsibility
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained through daily checks
  • To record for auditing purposes work issued and completed by team members
  • To manage the annual appraisals and objectives, return to work interviews and staff holidays

 

Person Specification: Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Qualifications

 

Essential:

  • Management experience in the construction industry
  • IT proficient – MS Office suite
  • Full UK Driving Licence

 

Desirable:

  • Production management experience
  • Level 3 in Management
  • IOSH Managing Safely

 

Hours:            

Permanent role – 40 hours per week (Monday through Friday)

 

Salary:            

£25,000 pa and training
