Project Manager - CM0 - CM77

£43,000 - £52,000 + excellent benefits

A family-run company specialising in electrical engineering and maintenance of power systems is seeking a Project Manager to lead planned projects mostly within the M25 and occasional annual away-stay trips. The Project Manager will have working knowledge of both HV and LV power systems and have an electrical engineering background to HNC level. Ideally the Project Manager will have IOSH and have excellent soft skills such as communication, organisational and problem solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, strategizing, implementation and operational delivery of projects
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Provide accurate technical details & specifications at both tendering and award stage of the project.
  • Ensure effective methods are in place so that project works are delivered to maximum productivity level.

  • Manage the project budget, resource allocation, timelines and P&L
  • Ensure works are planned & organised in a timely manner & team are fully prepared for works, including client & subcontractor liaison.
  • Assemble, coordinate and lead project staff, setting clear roles and responsibilities, providing direction and support.
  • Manage the onsite customer experience, delivering efficiencies and service improvements, including handling any complaints.
  • Liaise with clients to ensure works are communicated, requirements are met, and any adjustments are recorded, and costs passed on.
  • Develop and implement project management systems, recording and documenting all aspects of the project.
  • Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward service & project delivery excellence.
  • Provide reporting on suitable performance data, maintaining set KPI's and allowing for informed decisions.
  • Attend and successfully complete any identified training courses.

 

Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:

Essential:

  • Have minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Have IOSH Managing Safely and SMSTS

 

  • Have CDM Qualifications / experience
  • Have relevant Project Management qualifications and experience
  • Have an understanding in project management software Knowledge
  • Be commercially aware and have strong communication, organisational and a problem-solving skill

  • First Aid
