A highly specialised engineering company is seeking a QA Engineer for their facility in Warrington. It is essential the QA Engineer proven experience working in a similar role and have completed a BSc degree in a technical background. The QA Engineer will have excellent people and communication skills, as well as have strong array of soft skills. They must be able to work independently, result driven and flexible in their day-to-day work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide QA support and advise to the team working on site. Work together with Line Managers and Site Team to promote QA awareness and QA good practises in the team working on site to deliver value to the organization
  • Ensure the implementation of ISO 13485
  • Ensure, supervise and process non-compliance issues Support the onsite teams using the defined problem-solving processes
  • Incoming control of configuration items to be incorporated onsite
  • Carry out in-process Quality Control during all phases of projects, test plans and procedures
  • Register inspection results and reports
  • Conduct internal audits as requested to ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and company rules
  • Ensure the maintenance of site documentation and records
  • Follow-up the corrective actions assigned to the site up to completion
  • Supervise the correct management of tools
  • Conduct site specific Quality Induction training

 

Knowledge/Experience/Skills:

Essential:

  • Minimum BSc degree qualification or equivalent
  • Minimum of five years of experience in science/engineering: Maths, Physics, Electronics, Avionics or similar
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical skills, precise, result-driven, objective, open minded, fair and determined
  • Ability to work autonomously

 

Desirable:

  • Trained in ISO 13485 and in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Minimum of five years of experience in quality assurance in device manufacturing, embedding critical software or similar regulated environment
  • Experience in medical device software configuration, management

 

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
