Salary:             £42k-£50k

An award-winning young, fast growing and dynamic chartered accountant’s firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to look after a diverse portfolio of approximately 200 clients. The Senior Accountant will have a minimum of 4 years’ experience working as a senior account, with either qualifications relevant to the role, or have significant Account experience. In addition, the Senior Accountant will have excellent communication skills, they will be a driven individual and able to deliver and share best practice. Too be well organised and capable of working under pressure. There will be exceptional opportunities for the right candidate in the future.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for a client portfolio of approx. 200 clients
  • Be first point of contact for your allocated clients
  • Prepare accounts for small, medium, and Group structure businesses (Limited companies, LLPs, and Partnerships)
  • Manage and nurture the client relationships.
  • Customer focus and problem solving is key to this role
  • Work with our Client Services Administrator to manage file processing and key project timing plans.
  • Review completed assignments from third party partners
  • Ensure all balance sheet items reconcile, P&L account is accurate
  • Ensure notes in the accounts are accurate, and in accordance with appropriate legislation
  • Complete job within allocated budget
  • Manage client invoicing process
  • Ensure monthly WIP is minimised, & Timesheet is completed daily and accurately

 

Knowledge, skills and qualifications:

Essential:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience working in a Practice
  • Have relevant qualifications or extensive experience in accountancy
  • Good IT skills
  • High standard of written English
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to plan workloads, prioritise, and deliver against key deadlines
  • Organised, reliable and highly efficient
  • Motivated and enthusiastic
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Being a  good team player is essential in this role

 

Salary: up to £50,000
