A specialist defence solutions provider is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to deliver complex engineering work, provide technical expertise and support the development of the team’s capabilities. The Senior Electrical Engineer will have a strong understanding of radar, RF theory and sensor systems, as well as have strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical and integrated systems with experience in installing and maintaining this type of product. In addition, the Senior Electrical Engineer will have a full UK driving licence, be able to obtain UK SC, and have a good knowledge of networking, IP configuration and system integration.

Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve complex faults across integrated systems
- Install, configure and optimise CUAS and related technologies
- Lead system testing, calibration and performance analysis
- Work autonomously across deployments and assignments
- Maintain and support TRF environments
- Operate and maintain drone systems across environments
- Provide training and mentoring to engineers
- Conduct competence checks and support capability development
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support delivery
Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:
- Strong understanding of radar, RF theory and sensor systems
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical and integrated systems
- Proven experience in installation, configuration, calibration, testing and maintenance of complex systems
- Good knowledge of networking, IP configuration and system integration
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical faults independently
- Ability to work autonomously across deployments and technical assignments
- Experience or interest in UAS
- Good understanding of security threats, vulnerabilities and emerging technologies
- IT proficiency including Microsoft Office and relevant technical tools
- Hold a full UK driving licence and be willing and able to travel regularly to customer and operational sites, including overseas deployments
- Be able to obtain and maintain UK Security Clearance (SC)
- Participate in an on-call rota, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
Salary: £40,000
