Senior Field Service Engineer - LE1 - LE67

£45,000 - £48,000 + benefits

A specialist engineering company dealing in OEM circuit breakers for a range of commercial and industrial industries is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide field service, workshop and office duties to ensure customers’ power is continuously running. The Field Service Engineer will be electrical trained and have relevant qualifications and be able to show safety competence. In addition, you will have a UK driving licence, be available for out of hours overtime, be able to work under a 40-hour working week in a 7-day period.

Key Responsibilities:

Field Service duties – to aid and conduct in the supply, maintenance, injection testing, installation, commissioning, fault finding and repair of:

  • Air Circuit Breakers (ACBs)
  • Moulded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCBs)
  • Vacuum Circuit Breakers (VCBs)
  • Integral & Static Protection Releases & Relays
  • Low Voltage Switchboards
  • High Voltage Switchboards
  • Changeover Systems
  • Battery Chargers

 

Office duties – to aid and conduct in the preparation of:

  • Site Visit Reporting
  • Test Certificates
  • Method Statements & Risk Assessments (MSRAs)
  • Quotations / Site Surveys
  • Asset Lists
  • Contract Support
  • Telephone Support

 

Workshop duties – maintenance and repair of customer returned items and three tier stock items

 

Knowledge, skills and qualifications:

Essential:

  • Have completed an HNC/HND level 4 in electrical engineering or similar
  • Minimum 10 years’ time in service
  • Proven ability to show electrical safety competence
  • Have a clean UK driving licence and is prepared to regular security vetting and drugs & alcohol testing
  • Be available for regular out of normal working hours and overtime

 

Desirable:

  • Authorised or Senior Authorized Person status

 

Salary: £45,000 to £48,000 DOE
