Senior Mechanical Engineer - L1 - L40

A fast-paced and expanding company, with excellent career stability and progression prospects, are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer at their depot in Liverpool. A Senior Mechanical Engineer needs a minimum NVQ Level 2 Engineering qualification or equivalent with knowledge of heavy plant, hydraulics and electrics. Leadership and management experience is also essential for a Senior Mechanical Engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Organising the day to day running of the workshop
• Overseeing workloads for the team of engineers
• Carry out planned pro-active and reactive maintenance across various equipment
• Complete all necessary recording of checks always following company procedure
• Communicate effectively with the engineering team
• Offering help and guidance to your team of engineers to ensure that they complete tasks effectively and efficiently

Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:

Essential:

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 Engineering qualification or equivalent
• CAP (Competent Assessed Person) licence for inspecting powered access equipment
• Mechanical knowledge in a heavy plant LOLER background, i.e. powered access or forklifts
• Competent in electro/hydraulic systems.
• Experienced in fault finding / diagnostics
• Experience leading teams in a workshop environment or equivalent

Salary: Competitive + OT + bonus

Hours: 45 hours per week
