Senior Project Manager - M1 - M50

A large and successful company that provides project delivery solutions to a wide range of customer sectors is seeking a Senior Project Manager to provide overall leadership of our client’s projects. The Senior Project Manager will need to have attained either APM or Prince2 qualifications, completed or attained qualification/chartered status in Construction Management or Design Management (or equivalent), and is able to have strong relationships with all individuals throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide overall leadership of projects
• Take control of the project development and manage the execution from contract award through to handover and EPCM project close
• Ensure scope and deliverables are clearly defined and delivered in accordance with the project requirements
• Manage the interfaces and relationships between the client and project teams
• As primary customer facing contact with client project organisation and other external stakeholders, ensure no breach of Company contractual boundaries whilst maintaining a balance against the need to maintain positive relationships
• Define the project organisation and assemble the project team from internal and external resources to successfully deliver the project objectives
• Develop a project risk management plan in accordance with Company procedures and regularly refresh throughout the project
• Ensure all known risks are effectively managed and communicated to stakeholders
• Responsible for all project reporting to internal and external stakeholders
• Drive and motivate the team to deliver the project critical success factors

Knowledge, skills and qualifications:

• Have attained either APM and/or Prince2 qualifications
• Have recognised qualification/chartered status in either Design Management or Construction Management
• Have completed minimum qualifications to degree level
• Established and have proven work experience in building relationships with key individuals in all teams, partner agencies, key supplies and major contractors
• Have excellent people-facing, communication, and teamwork skills

Salary: £65-70 per hour (this is a full time contractor/consultant type role)
