Simulator Maintenance Engineer - RG1 - RG45

£35,000 + benefits

A defence solutions provider is seeking a Simulator Maintenance Engineer to provide technical support ensuring the ongoing operation of simulator training equipment and carry out maintenance and support. The Simulator Maintenance Engineer will have previous experience fault-finding, installation, commissioning, and maintaining equipment requiring multi-skilled engineering (electrical and mechanical). In addition, has proficiency in IT, able to work under pressure and has good customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • First line trouble shooting and fault resolution with the ability to work autonomously as required
  • Responsible for fault finding, maintenance repair and installation and commissioning of simulation equipment
  • Responsible for carrying out software, hardware, basic network configuration
  • Assess equipment performance so that it is available and ready for use
  • Perform pre and post use simulator checks
  • Complete technical reports and review technical data and drawings
  • Excellent communication and administration skills, both written and verbal
  • Comply with H&S guidelines at Company and customer site premises 


Knowledge, skills and qualifications:


  • Working knowledge and experience of electrical and mechanical systems
  • The ability to work under pressure and comply with strict timelines
  • IT skills with proficiency in MS Teams and Office
  • Good customer service skills

  • Forklift or MEWP (training provided)


Salary: £35,000
