Event Technician - HP1 - HP27

Our client is seeking an Event Technician to provide electrical power across customer sites in the UK. The Event Technician will need to have worked with generators before and have gained general electrical knowledge. The Event Technician will also be physically fit and be flexible enough to work out of hours and on weekends. The Event Technician will ideally have worked to BS7909 standards and have an HGV Class 2 licence.

Applications from ex-military personnel are strongly encouraged.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with onsite generators, ensuring all temporary electrician standards are adhered to.
• Complete BS7909 Temporary Electrical Installations sign off
• Laying temporary cable connecting generators with customer’s studio
• Work onsite on locations across the United Kingdom

Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:

Essential:

• Have worked with generators and gained general electrical knowledge
• Ability to load and unload trucks and carry out other manual handling tasks safely
• Flexible attitude to working hours and days is required, including some late nights, early mornings and weekends
• Work under pressure and meet critical deadlines
• Follow company H&S procedures and safe systems of work

Desirable:

• BS7909 Temporary Electrical Installations
• HGV Class 2
• Previous experience within the entertainment industry

Salary: £28,000 to £32,000 (due to overtime salary can reach to £40,000)

Hours: 45+ hours per week (will be paid OT)
