Technical Engineer - EC1A - EC4Y

£30,000 to £40,000 + benefits

A global counter surveillance company is seeking a Technical Engineer to join their expanding team to provide technical surveillance countermeasure services to customers around London. The Technical Engineer will need a completed level 3 qualification in either electrical, electronic or telecommunications engineering. In addition, the Technical Engineer will have strong understanding of radio frequencies, IT or telephone network principles, and be willing to work some evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy operationally in a range of environments both in the UK and overseas
  • Ensure all follow up investigations to surveys are conducted in accordance with current legislation, company SOPs and continuity of evidence is maintained
  • Produce post-deployment reports to a high standard and to timescales
  • Deliver external training on industry methodologies and capabilities
  • Undertake regular training to ensure that skills and procedures match the current threat assessments
  • Responsibility for the maintenance, and deployment of operational technical equipment
  • Research and development into new threats and countermeasures equipment

 

Knowledge, skills and qualifications:

Essential:

  • Completed a level 3 electrical, electronic or telecommunications engineering
  • Completed either training, qualifications or gained experience in RF/IT/Telephone network principles
  • Be willing to work some evenings and weekends

 

Desirable:

  • Experience of delivering counter surveillance operations using current techniques and equipment
  • Have attained prior UK Government structured training e.g., at UKNACE
  • Trained and have proven experience in military or police search techniques

 

Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 DOE
