Technical Sales Representative - LU1 - LU7

A rapidly expanding industrial machines supplier to businesses across many sectors in the UK is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to develop onsite relationships and manage large scale multisite accounts. A Technical Sales Representative will need to have excellent communication and people facing skills, be able to work as a team and be adaptable. Ideally, a Technical Sales Representative will have a background with heavy machinery or vehicle maintenance, be technically minded and/or have logistics experience. For the right individual excellent benefits and career progression given. Area of work will be between the area of Northampton and Chelmsford.

Key Responsibilities:

• Visiting a vast spectrum of existing industrial site customers and assessing the machinery and site-specific needs on an ongoing basis
• Ensuring site are receiving the service levels required from the service department during machine audits
• Developing new opportunities for new machinery installations on large existing industrial sites, providing training where required, providing field engineer support and assessment where required.
• Taking repeat orders for industrial chemical and other machinery consumables

Person Specification:

Essential:

• Have minimum GCSE qualifications
• Proven experience in accomplishing targets successfully
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Able to work as a team and on own initiative
• Be adaptable and highly organised
• Excellent IT skills
• Driving licence

Desirable:

• Mechanically/technically minded
• Have previously worked with heavy machinery or vehicle maintenance
• Have a background in logistics and supply chain

Salary:

£25,000 basic + benefits and bonus (realistic OTE circa £35k)
