Transport Manager - RH1 - RH20

An award winning and long-standing group of vehicle body shop company is seeking a Transport Manager to look after the company’s fleet of vehicles and manage the admin and planning of the department. The Transport Manager will have previous experience looking after an internal fleet and teams associated with the department. The Transport Manager will also have a strong knowledge of London’s geographical area, have excellent communication, leadership, and motivational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising and leading a team of 12 drivers and a fleet of 50+ courtesy vehicles
• Continuous improvement of Route/Driver optimisation
• Ensuring all records (including vehicle records) servicing and maintenance are up to date
• Do performance assessments and KPI management
• Regular fuel audits

Knowledge, skills and qualifications:

Essential:

• Is an experienced Transport Manager that has managed an internal fleet and the drivers
• Has strong leadership, communication and customer service skills
• Is able to keep motivation high within the team and is adaptable
• Has strong understanding of London and the surrounding areas’ road network and anything geographic related

Desirables:

• Have relevant logistics qualifications
• CPC
• Have previously provided training within a driving environment

Salary: Circa £40,000 + bonus
