Warehouse Operative - CO1 - CO16

A large independent distributor of towed equipment, trailers and parts is seeking Warehouse Operatives to pick components and sub-assemblies, and support the Supervisor ensuring frequency-based H&S checks are completed. The Warehouse Operative will have worked in a similar high-paced environment with good attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the Warehouse Supervisor to maintain accurate stock visibility to meet daily sales
• Reconcile inventory levels within IQ via daily/weekly stock checks
• Check arriving stock using engineering drawings to ensure components have been built to drawing
• Identify SKU shortages and notify the Production Manager
• Record all goods-in, requisitions, and supplier returns to reconcile inventory
• Mange quarantined stock
• Pick orders aligned to daily sales
• Maximise use of available bin locations and warehouse racking
• Maintain a neat, ordered, and tidy working area. Conduct 3S and other H&S checks weekly
• Identify areas for improvement and provide solutions which can be practically implemented

Knowledge, skills and qualifications:

Essential:

• Proven work experience in a similar high paced environment where accuracy is required
• Experience of using ERP systems is essential
• Inventory experience, including audits, is essential
• Excellent organisation skills
• Good communication abilities
• Good IT skills with Excel experience
• Eye for detail and high level of numeracy
• Licensed to operate MHE including a FLT
• Strong work ethic

Shifts:

2 shifts – early 08:00-17:00 45-hour week. Rarely work weekends.

Salary:

£22,230 + OT and bonus scheme raising salary to OTE circa £25.5k
