Water Treatment Technician/Engineer - S1 - S81

£34,000 - £38,000 (DOE) + Bonus

Our client provides modular water treatment services to clients in the construction and municipal sectors, including chemical dosing for silt removal, pH correction, oil removal and heavy metals reduction.

Training and a company van (for business use) will be provided.

Applications from suitably qualified ex-military personnel (Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Marines) will be particularly relevant for this position but other qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out on-site technical engineering installations around the UK on all Company equipment types
  • Liaise with and instruct site agents on the use of equipment
  • Carry out equipment breakdowns as necessary
  • Maintain a high level of site health and safety awareness
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment in the 'ready for hire' process
  • Hours: Full time, 07:30 am - 16:30 pm

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • A working knowledge of common water treatment methods and equipment, including: pumps, chemical dosing & control systems, clarification, air sparging, carbon and media filtration, sludge thickening.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Hygiene Hazards and Controls desirable 
  • Good IT skills and communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Full Driving Licence essential
