Salary £11 per hour + Overtime + Benefits
Main purpose
Due to a continuous increased workload our client is now offering permanent contracts for three Yard Operatives.
This role will be yard based, Monday to Friday 7.30am-4pm, although these hours may change occasionally to meet business demands, so the successful candidate will be flexible.
Applications from suitably qualified ex-military personnel (Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Marines) will be particularly relevant for this position but other qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
Major Accountabilities and Key Responsibilities
Operational:
- Working in yard cleaning and processing ground protection/temporary roads
- To handle and maintain yard stocks
- Load orders on to company vehicles for delivery
- Ensure stock is displayed to its best advantage
- Ensure the premises are kept clean and tidy
- Check stock levels and report shortages to Foreman
- Maintain a high level of health and safety at all times
Training:
- Within this role you will have the opportunity to regularly undergo training to develop your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Valid CSCS is preferred but not essential as training will be given
- Experience of working in a similar role desirable but not essential
- Experience of manual handling
- Hardworking and reliable
- Polite and professional
- Full Driving License
